                                                DAN STEEVES

Dan Steeves – Dan was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick and grew up in a very musical family there.  The son of two music teachers was destined to be a very musical person.  Singing in choirs from a young age and beginning piano lessons at the age of 4, music was always a part of life.  Elementary school was where more music came into life for Dan.  In Grade 4 he started to play the trumpet under the direction of legendary music educator Don Bosse.  In Junior high Dan continues to learn music by picking up the bass guitar.  Dan also learned lots during this time by playing on worship teams at his church.  In High School Dan started playing acoustic guitar and dabbled in song writing.  After high school Dan worked at King’s Landing for a couple of summers and also performed for Christmas dinners for several years there which is where he developed a love for folk music and playing music with his brother.  Although funk and soul music is a new adventure it is a challenge that Dan is happy and willing to accept.  Go Boogie Katz!
